Meet Our Owner

Sandra L. Gibson-Goffe is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with an office located in New Haven, CT. She works with children, young adults, and families using an eclectic approach tailored to the unique needs of each new client. Sandra has over 20 years of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients including both long-term and brief interventions.

In the midst of difficulties lies hope and opportunity. The above gospel song sung by the incomparable, Yolanda Adams has always given me inspiration throughout my life journey. This song has always meant so much to me, especially when I was faced with many challenges in my life. I have always had a great interest in helping and working with others as far back as I can remember. Facing my own personal losses, I can say what has sustained me is my relationship with God, family and my background as a licensed clinical social worker.​

I became a social worker for 2 reasons; I have a natural propensity to talk to people, and I simply enjoy helping others. Traditionally, social workers help people get where they want to go and assist them in becoming more resourceful. We provide life coaching and counseling. My goal is to work with you in developing a therapeutic alliance and to show you how to become more proficient at using systems we live in. Through best practices and clinical interventions, I have seen better outcomes and improved functioning at home and at school thus making a better path for a well-adjusted adult.

Social work is something I have always been interested in doing, especially working with children and families. Helping people overcome obstacles and difficulties and making the most of themselves is a very rewarding yet challenging career.
